Carmilla (2004)

Official selection of Shockerfest LA, 2003 (Director’s Selection). 2004 International / DVD release (The Asylum)

  • CARMILLA ~ THE TOTALLY UNCUT VERSION! Based on the classic tale of vampires & lesbians by J. Sheridan Le Fanu.

When young heroine Jenna Fontaine falls victim to a strange vampiric plague, causing all sorts of wild hallucinations, she takes off with her father Travis to seek out and eradicate the source of the vile infection…

But Carmilla has other plans for Jenna… And soon they’ll find themselves facing off against Catholic school-girl zombies, cannibals, demon nuns, and the ferocious vampire locked Travis’s own trunk! …All while Carmilla is slowly seducing Jenna’a body and soul….

A new take on the Le Fanu classic, complete with surreal plot twists and a wild splatter-punk finale to compliment the original erotic storyline and apocalyptic backdrop in this totally off-the-wall horror-action-comic vampire-lesbian story…

Carmilla is the ORIGINAL UNCUT, UNRATED version of Creepy Six Films’ 2004 flick starring American scream queen Brinke Stevens, originally released by The Asylum as Vampires vs Zombies in the U.S. and Canada with an R-rating, where over three full minutes of gore and undead mayhem were cut from the movie in order to acquire a suitable rating for mega-store video rental chains. Although Vampires vs Zombies was released uncensored overseas, this original version has now been fully remastered & restored and includes a slightly different opening and a little more eroticism and nudity than even the uncut International release.

(2004 Asylum DVD release and 2008 Unearthed Films Special Edition release are both currently out-of-print.)

SEX & DEATH: 1977  (short film)

A groovy, sadistic dose of guilty pleasure by Creepy Six Films. “Sex & Death: 1977” is an artistic experiment in horror/pop-culture, a loving homage to Euro-shock thrillers from this decadent decade and a psycho-sexual allegory with the cinematic flavor of cult faves like Jess Franco, Sergio Martino and Mario Bava.

Available on the CARMILLA DVD

Mock poster - Jon editedHEADS ARE GONNA ROLL (short film)

This witty gangster comedy/revenge was shot in the middle of the Carmilla production and first released in 2004 as an extra feature on the Vampires vs. Zombies DVD (aka Carmilla) by The Asylum. The remastered 16×9 version was re-released by Unearthed Films on the Carmilla Special Edition DVD in 2008. Starring American cult icon Brinke Stevens (also from Carmilla).
